All games have a set of common menus such as the start page, load and option pages. The design of interfaces is hard especially the HUD’S since they need to be designed with ease of use in mind. That’s why games such as black and white try not to have any on screen menus so that the user isn’t distracted by the menus but can focus fully on the game. Even if the game doesn’t have a HUD it will still have many sub menus within the game such as inventories and character option screens.
